Overview

Not going to lie, I’ve never been a fan of this STP. I did have high hopes for it when I first saw it, just like I do with most STPs, but unfortunately, for me, this STP does not work. I’ve tried it in so many different ways and no matter what, I still end up peeing all over myself. I do know that this STP does work for some people, so I’ll make sure to give you all the information in order to decide if this will work for you or not!

A little about the company, Number One Laboratory is a trans owned company which started in 2012 when they launched the #1 STP/Number One STP (this STP). The purpose was to have an STP that was both realistic and functional. Now I want to give some context here because back in 2012, the standards for a “realistic” and “functional” STP were pretty low. There weren’t many STPs out there available and when this came out, it was for sure a game changer. However, 10+ years later, the standards have changed and people expect more from an STP. Something more realistic and more functional (for example, something with a no spill lip?).

The Great

  • Small size makes it easy to pack with
  • Very large hole at the tip of the STP helps the urine leave the STP quickly
  • Feels very soft to the touch (if you get the ‘powdered’ version)
  • Thin cup might be a plus for some people who do not like the bulkier-cupped STPs on the market

The Not-so-Great

  • Cup Size – The cup’s width is very narrow.
  • Spill Risk – The cup is wide open and if you urinate too quickly, it can leak out of the sides. There is no “spill proof” mechanism included.
  • Does not pack well – the shape is odd and does not look “realistic” when packing with it.

Unboxing

This product comes in a sealed plastic bag.

I know a lot of people wonder what the actual shipping box looks like and it’s tough to really say because this prosthetic is sold by many different online retailers. If you are ever unsure, you can always message the company you are purchasing from and ask them what they put on the box! The retailer that I prefer is Early2Bed and I can tell you that living in Canada and receiving a package from the USA, I’m always terrified the customs declaration form is going to say something like “big weiner”. Luckily, that has never happened with Early2Bed. They also didn’t even put the return address as “Early2Bed” they put “ETB”.

Fun little story, I ordered sex toys from Wish (as a joke for a video) once and one of the packages literally said “giant dildo” on the customs form. I’m sure the Canadian Border people had a nice laugh. I sure did.

Color

The Number One STP comes in 3 different skin tones: Dark, Medium, and Light.

Size

Total Length:  6.25”
Cup Length: 3.5”
Shaft Width: 1”
Cup Width: 1.5”
Weight: 3.4oz / 97g

Material and Feel

The Number One STP is made up of 100% silicone. It’s a “one pour” silicone mold, which means the entire prosthetic feels the same throughout. The original version of this STP was a little sticky/tacky, but luckily, they have improved on the design and now the Number One STP comes in a “powdered finish”. This makes the STP much softer to the touch and doesn’t feel sticky/tacky at all. This also means less cat hair/dust/debris on the STP. Please note, the photo shown in this section is of the OLDER model, which is why there is dust and cat hair on it!

If you find that yours is a little tacky/sticky, just add some corn starch and that should soften it right up!

Packing

Alrighty, as I said in the beginning of this review, I’m really not a fan of the way this STP packs. It’s not the worse STP I’ve ever packed with, but as you’ll see, it’s just an awkward shape to put in your pants. Again, this works for some, but for me personally, I just don’t like the way it feels on my skin (because it’s made up of 100% silicone, it is safe to put directly on your skin). You can put it in a packing pouch or packing underwear, but again, I just feel like the shape itself is not great.

Packing upwards (the shaft of the peen is up and the balls/cup is down):

Packing “down” (the shaft is pointing downwards):

Shaft pointing upwards on STP packing boxers:

What I’ve done in the past is actually scrunch it up. It’s a pretty small STP, so making it into a ball and putting it in your pockets is absolutely possible. Just keep in mind that although this packer is malleable enough to squish into a ball, if you do this excessively, it will reduce the lifespan of this prosthetic.

Peeing

Peeing with this STP can be a little tricky and you definitely need a lot of practice. The cup/funnel part of the STP is extremely narrow and if you don’t know where your urethra is, you’re going to end up peeing all over yourself – not fun.

Oh boy, the main function of this prosthetic is to pee. However, this STP does not make it easy. Because the cup is so narrow and thin, you need a lot of practice to figure out how to use it without peeing on yourself. I always tell people to practice in the shower/bath and I really mean it with this STP. The Number One STP does not come with a little lip around the cup to make sure your pee doesn’t fly out of the sides. This is something that is way more common with newer STPs. But, considering this STP is from 2012, I understand the technology is going to be different. With that being said, it’s not impossible to pee from this STP, you just need a lot of practice.

Also, it’s not a great STP if you’re someone with a little extra weight (like me – please note, those photos above are not me lol). Because the cup is so narrow, when you put it between your legs to try to pee with, its normal that your legs close a little. When you’ve got them thunder thighs, it just squishes it even more, making the “cup” basically non-existent. So you’ll end up peeing on everything except the STP. You can get a real low squat going and try not to get your thighs to close up the cup, but that’s not very stealth, especially if you’re trying to use the urinal lol.

Real Feel Test™

Visual Realism 1.5/5

Visually, you can tell this is supposed to look like a peen, however, it looks more like if you were to lay a peen on its side and drop a heavy book on it. The shaft and the head looks like they were squished. However, if you are at the urinal and someone accidently glances down and takes a .5 second peak, you should be fine.

Touch Realism (Through Pants) 1/5

If you are packing with this STP and you or someone else (consensually) grabs it through underwear, it will not feel like a realistic peen. It will feel like there is some weirdly shaped toy in your pants.

Touch Realism (Skin-Like) 1/5

This does not feel like skin.

Cleaning and Care

I recommend cleaning this product before and after each use.

The 100% silicone component makes this STP easy to clean and sterilize. The easiest way to clean this product is with hot soapy water or by sticking it in the top row of the dishwasher. If you need to sterilize this product, put it in a boiling pot of water for 3-5 minutes. Because this product is made of 100% silicone, boiling it is 100% safe.

If you find that the prosthetic is tacky/sticky after cleaning it, I always recommend using cornstarch (or other rejuvenating powders) to maintain a smooth and silky texture. If you have one of the darker skin tones and you don’t want to put white cornstarch on it, add a little coco powder to the cornstarch to offset the color.

*Please do not use talcum powder (most commonly found in baby powder), it has been associated with different types of cancers, mostly ovarian cancer. We have a full article on the dangers of talcum power here.

Storage

I recommend using the original packaging. Place this product in a cool, dry, and dark place, like a dresser drawer. Do not store it with other similar-material products as those eventually can start to morph together, which is really not fun. Sometimes, these products secrete an oily texture and a canvas bag will help absorb this moisture.

Durability 4/5

Since this STP is made out of 100% silicone, it is durable and will last years, even if you use it daily. Just be sure not to fold it too much.

Packability 2/5

Very hard to pack with because of its shape. ⅖ because technically you can pack with it.

Budget Friendly 3/5

Mid-price range for something made out of silicone AND that is an STP. Usually STPs can start at $100 and go all the way up to $500+.

Urinal Friendly 3/5

If you practice a lot and get the hang of it, peeing at the urinal isn’t that challenging.

Final Thoughts

Although this isn’t the best STP out there, it’s not as expensive as others on the market and it is a smaller size. This can be advantageous for people who like to pack small or who would just rather fold this up and put it in their pocket. This isn’t my favorite STP, but it’s design is from 2012, so I can cut it some slack.
