TPR Packer by PackerGear Review

My Rating

Very similar to the XS Mr. Limpy, however it is a little girthier and chubbier.

Overview

The TPR Packer by Packer Gear (Calexotics) is a very squishy and flaccid packer. It comes in 2 sizes and the smaller size looks a little….. chode-like. However, it has a decent weight to it and looks great when packing with it. Yes, It’s very similar to the Mr. Limpy in many different ways: almost the same material used (not silicone), the shaft sticks up instead of down (down would be like a flaccid penis), similar feel (texture wise), and similar price. It’s clear to me that this company tried to make a direct competitor to the very popular Mr.Limpy.

Before going into this packer review, I want to give you some information on the company. They market themselves as being called “Packer Gear”, however, they are actually a much larger company named “Calexotics”. Now, I don’t want to get sued for slander, so everything I say in the next couple of sentences is really only my opinion from everything I have seen. It would appear that this company may take designs from other trans-owned businesses, use cheaper materials, and call it their own. An example of this is their “FTM Stroker” looks exactly like the Buck Off (Discontinued). The “Soft STP” is a direct replica of New York Toy Collective’s “Sam STP”. I made a video about this a while ago, which you can find here. I just wanted to make sure everyone is aware of the background on this company. Now, I will say that it is amazing that a company is making products that are more affordable for the community. However, I don’t think they are doing it for us…..that’s all I have to say about that.

The Great

  • Easy to pack with, gives you a nice bulge
  • Very squishy and floppy. Will not look like a boner
  • Price point! Super Affordable! Can’t beat that!

The Not-so-Great

  • The material is porous which can carry and harbor bacteria, especially if not cleaned properly
  • Oily/greasy feeling
  • Only available in 2 skin shades, where the dark shade is not very dark at all.
  • Company reputation isn’t the best……

Unboxing

Product comes in a Packer Gear branded box. The first time I opened the box I can’t remember if the actual packer came in a little clear bag or not. All I can remember is the oily/greasy feel to it when I first touched it. I had to get some corn starch right away on this bad boy because that oily residue feeling is just disgusting. I hate having it on my hands and it feels like it’s going inside my pores (I’m dramatic).

I know a lot of people wonder what the actual shipping box looks like and it’s tough to really say because this prosthetic is sold by many different online retailers. If you are ever unsure, you can always message the company you are purchasing from and ask them what they put on the box! The retailer that I prefer is Early2Bed and I can tell you that living in Canada and receiving a package from the USA, I’m always terrified the customs declaration form is going to say something like “big wiener”. Luckily, that has never happened with Early2Bed. They also didn’t even put the return address as “Early2Bed” they put “ETB”.

Fun little story, I ordered sex toys from Wish (as a joke for a video) once and one of the packages literally said “giant dildo” on the customs form. I’m sure the Canadian Border people had a nice laugh. I sure did.

Color

This packer is only available in 2 skin tone shades. These colors might look slightly different in real life than in photos you may see online. I only have the light colored one, but from the photos I’ve seen online of the actual packer (and not the companies photos), It’s really a shame that they didn’t try hard enough to make an actually good darker shade. The two colors are also called different things online. “Light Beige” is sometimes “Ivory” and “Light Brown” is sometimes “Brown”

Size

This packer comes in 2 different sizes. There is a pretty big difference between the two sizes. The small one I think is honestly a fantastic size, while the large one was just a little to big for me. It made it look like I have a huge erection.

Small
Large

Small 4”
Total length: 4.75” / 12cm
Shaft Length: 3.5” / 8.8cm (measured underneath)
Width: 1.5” / 3.8 cm at the base of the shaft
Balls (sideways): 1.35” / 3.2cm
Weight: 4.4 oz / 127g

Large 5”
Total length: 5.5” / 14cm
Shaft Length: 4.25” / 10.8cm (measured underneath)
Width: 1.5” / 3.8cm at the base of the shaft
Weight: 4.9 oz / 139g

Material and Feel

This packer is made with thermoplastic rubber (TPR) and is NOT made out of silicone. Its texture is very soft, especially when combined with corn starch (or other finishing powders). However, because it is not made of 100% silicone, it is not skin safe. The material itself is very porous, which means bacteria can get trapped in it, even after you clean it. This can cause infections in the areas it touches.

Just look how SQUISHY this is! (this is the 4″)

The TPR Packer is very soft and very squishy, however, again another downside of it not being made of silicone, it does secrete an oily/greasy residue. This is not something that goes away once you’ve washed it. Once you’ve washed the packer, it might start to feel more sticky/tacky. I outline my recommendations to counteract this in the section below.

Packing

Packing with this packer is very easy. Using a pair of tight briefs, packing underwear, packing pouches, or packing harnesses works well. It leaves a nice bulge in your pants that looks very realistic. Now, because it’s not made of 100% silicone, it’s not skin safe. You should not wear this up against your skin. It’s porous, can harbor bacteria and you can get an infection. Also, that strange oily/greasy feel to it gets on your junk and it’s not fun. Always try to pack with a small barrier between your skin and the packer. A packing pouch is probably the easiest and most hygienic way! Something like the MyPack Strap or the Joey Packing Pouch.

Here I am packing DOWN (the shaft and balls are both hanging down)

Here I am packing UP (the head of the shaft is up and the balls are down):

Real Feel Test™

Visual Realism 2.5/5

This packer visually looks realistic even though it is not custom painted and it only comes in the one solid color you chose (ivory or brown). The detailing of the head, shaft,  and veins seem unproportional, however, when looking at a penis, it is very rare that everything has ‘porn star’ proportions. Making this packer, anatomically realistic in many ways. The one thing I will say is the scrotum/balls are not very realistic. When looking at them, it looks more like what a classic packer balls looks like (not realistic). Kind of like… it’s obvious someone sculpted it by hand and it wasn’t molded from an actual peen.

Touch Realism (Through Pants) 4/5

This packer is very squishy so if you (or someone else) grab your packer through your underwear or pants, it will feel realistically like a very flaccid penis. Totally passes the grab test.

Touch Realism (Skin-Like) 3/5

Since the material used is not silicone, the company is able to experiment with different textures, weights, and …… floppiness? The actual feeling of this packer is very skin-like, especially when using finishing powders (like corn starch) as it will make it even softer.

Cleaning and Care

Usually with packers and prosthetics that you use near your genitals, it’s a good idea to boil them. However, this product is NOT made of silicone, and if you stick it in a boiling pot of water, it’s not going to come out looking the same. You’ll basically be making peen soup…..

I recommend cleaning this product before and after each use. The easiest way to clean this packer is with hot soapy water. We usually recommend sterilizing your packer at least once a week in a pot of boiling water, and/or sticking it in the dishwasher, however, because this packer is not 100% silicone, soapy water is the only option. As you can see by this photo, even after extensive cleaning, dust and hair still stick to it.

If you find that the packer is tacky/sticky after cleaning it, I am a huge advocate of using cornstarch (or other rejuvenating powders) to maintain a smooth and silky texture.

*Please do not use talcum powder (most commonly found in baby powder), it has been associated with different types of cancers, mostly ovarian cancer. We have a full article on the dangers of talcum power here.

Storage

I recommend using the original packaging or a natural canvas bag. Place this product in a cool, dry, and dark place, like a dresser drawer. Do not store it with other similar-material products as those eventually can start to morph together, which is really not fun. Sometimes, these products secrete an oily texture and a canvas bag will help absorb this moisture. If you do not store your packer properly, overtime it can secrets oils and eventually lose its shape and size (it will become smaller).

Small Tip: Add a little bit of cornstarch to this product before storing it in a bag. This will help it’s life and longevity.

Durability 1/5

The material used for this packer is not something that will last years and years. Expect to replace this packer at least once a year if you are wearing it often. Especially if you do not clean, care, and store it probably. The material is very delicate, meaning if you store it in a hot room for a couple of days, you might come back to it feeling more oily/greasy than ever and eventually, it may break/fall apart all together. After a couple of years on a shelf, it does seem like this packer started to shrink.

Packability 4/5

Gives a great bulge (depending on the size you choose, the 5” might be too big for you. Be sure to weigh the pros and cons of the sizes). The 5” might not sound big, but it is girthy.

Budget Friendly 5/5

Extremely. At only $12 and $14, this packer is right up there with the other very affordable non-silicone packers.

Reel Feel Test 3/5

If you grab it through your pants, it feels real.

Final Thoughts

If you’re looking for an inexpensive packer that packs easily and looks great in your pants, this might be the packer for you. There are some drawbacks, such as the material not being silicone and being harder to clean/sanitize, and the company being a little suspicious. However, if this is your first packer, it’s not expensive and it’s a good beginner one. Make sure you check on the size though. Sometimes we tend to want to go bigger, but the small one is a great size.
