Overview

I have tried over 2 dozen masturbation sleeves out on the market and I can proudly say that the Stroker Short (S1)  from Banana Prosthetics is one of my all time favorites. Not only is the suction beyond this world, the prosthetic actually looks like a peen. Heres the thing, the first version of this sleeve was ugly as hell. I hated the way it looked BUT it was still the best sleeve I had ever tried. However, bless the company because they changed up the outside aesthetic design and kept the inside the same. Now it looks much more realistic and really does a great job staying on your peen and really suctioning. 

Banana Prosthetics is a trans owned company from Quebec, Canada. They are super responsive and really listen to their customer feedback. This is something I really appreciate about this company. They know the products aren’t always perfect the first time around. And being able to listen and take in feedback is such a positive in my book. Banana Prosthetics actually invited me to their warehouse when I was up there last year! I met the owner and he showed me around the shop. That was a fantastic experience!

Okay, back to the review…..One thing I want to say about masturbation sleeves: It’s not going to work for everyone. Some people do not have much growth, while others have extra skin or ligaments around the area. This review is really just detailing my own experience with this masturbation sleeve. I want to be as transparent as possible when it comes to sleeves like this and growth. Growth is a little hard to measure but when I’m hard, I’m around 2″. The Not-so-Great

• The hole only comes in one size (if you need something with a wider hole, you’ll have to look at a different company, such as MorMe or GenderCat, both of which offer different hole sizes)
• The hole CAN rip if you are not careful.

Unboxing

The Stroker comes in a branded plastic bag from Banana Prosthetics.

I know a lot of people wonder what the actual shipping box looks like and it’s tough to really say because this prosthetic is sold by many different online retailers. I’ve gotten a lot of packages from Banana Prosthetics and since they are from Canada, they have to put a customs decloration form if they are shipping to the USA or any other country. From my expeirence, they have not written anything wild like “big ol dick”, so you should be safe.

Color

The Stroker Short (S1) from Banana Prosthetics comes in 7 different skin tones. And just a quick note, the darkest shade is actually dark. Some other companies “dark” shade is a “medium brown” at best. So i’m super happy to see this company bring out 3 really good darker shades!

Hole Size + Shaft Size

The short stroker comes in one size. If you want something a little big bigger, look at the Long Stroker from Banana Prosthetics.

Material and Feel

The first version of this sleeve was a little sticky/tacky, however, Version 2 is much better and much softer. As I always say though, if you feel that it’s getting a little sticky, you can always add some corn starch (if you have a darker skin tone and don’t want to put white corn starch, use a little coco powder mixed with the corn startch to give it a darker hue).

The sleeve itself if made up of 100% silicone, which means it’s very easy to clean and sterilize (more about this later).

Using

This stroker is super easy to use. It feels a little stiff when you first try to stretch it out to put it on your junk, but once it’s on there, wow! Banana Prosthetics knows what’s up when it comes to suctioning. The way I personally like to use a stroker is by opening up the hole a little and putting my peen AND my lips (ligaments and skin) all in there. This way, my peen can really get in there. If I was to just try to put my peen in, only like 1/2” would go in and it wouldn’t stay suctioned at all. The reason the suction is so good is because the hole gets completely filled up with all the “extra” skin (lips), and tissue around. If you add a little lube INSIDE the sleeve, it can help with the texture, however, if you add too much lube, it makes it too slippery to open up the hole properly to put your peen in.

It’s important to note that if you have a belly, it’s hard to visualize what you’re doing. I have a little belly and sometimes using the stroker is a little bit of a downer because I can’t really see it. I use it mostly when I make my Fansly and OnlyFans videos, so I get to see what it looks like on the camera, but still! Banana Prosthetics does make a longer version of this sleeve! However…. I still prefer the regular one.

I abuse my toys when I test them out, just to make sure they actually work and I can give a full in-depth review. During the review process, this sleeve’s hole did not rip. However, after using the sleeve….a lot……… I will say that a rip started to develop. Over the years, they have made different versions of this sleeve and I will say that the first ones that were sent to me riped so easily. The newer ones (V2), are actually a little “sturdier” and do not rip as easily. With that being said, just be mindful when opening up the hole.

Look how amazing that suction is with just my thumb in there! Once you put all the “ligaments” in, it’s even more suctiony!

CAN YOU USE IF YOU ARE NOT ON T (OR HAVE LITTLE TO NO GROWTH)?
Okay, so it’s not about if you’re on T or not, it’s really about size and ….. Imagination. I asked my cis female partner, who is not on T and does not have any growth, to try this sleeve and let me know how it felt. To both of our surprise, the suction was there. Now, you’re kind of putting all the lips and extra skin inside to fill the hole right? Well, that’s going to create some suction. So yes, TECHNICALLY you CAN use it if you don’t have growth. However, you’re not going to be able to use it exactly the same way someone with growth would use it. The big downside is the suction. It’s going to be there, however, you can’t really jack it off a lot because it will fall. You can gently jack it off.

Can you pack with this?
99% of sleeves out there are not meant for packing. They really are only meant for masturbating or playing with a partner. By all means, you can put this on your peen and walk around all day, I’ve tried it. The issue is that the suction is so good that my peen started to feel numb from having it on for only a couple minutes. This is the same thing if you’ve had any type of metoidioplasty (bottom surgery). You’ll be able to put it on and it’ll hang lose, but it might get a little tight and a tad uncomfortable.

Can you use this for sex?
No. Unfortunately, this is not a prosthetic that can be used for penetration. I have tried it in the past and I was successful for a whole 20 seconds until it fell off. And let me tell you how much that dysphoria hits when your dick falls off when you’re trying to penetrate. 

If you ARE going to attempt to penetrate, please stay away from the booty hole. This sleeve does NOT have a flared base and if it comes off of you, it’ll fall into the booty hole.

Can you use this as an STP?
No. Even if you’ve had urethra lengthening (part of metoidioplasty surgery), this sleeve does not have a hole at the tip for the urine to go out. If this is something you are looking for, I recommend looking at The Rod from Transthetics.

Cleaning and Care

I recommend cleaning this product before and after each use. 

The 100% silicone component makes this sleeve easy to clean and sterilize. The easiest way to clean this product is with hot soapy water or by sticking it in the top row of the dishwasher. If you need to sterilize this product, put it in a boiling pot of water for 3-5 minutes. Because this product is made of 100% silicone, boiling it is 100% safe. 

If you find that the sleeve is tacky/sticky after cleaning it, I always recommend using cornstarch (or other rejuvenating powders) to maintain a smooth and silky texture.

*Please do not use talcum powder (most commonly found in baby powder), it has been associated with different types of cancers, mostly ovarian cancer. We have a full article on the dangers of talcum power here.

Storage

I recommend using the original packaging. Place this product in a cool, dry, and dark place, like a dresser drawer. Do not store it with other similar-material products as those eventually can start to morph together, which is really not fun. Sometimes, these products secrete an oily texture and a canvas bag will help absorb this moisture. 

Final Thoughts

This is one of my favorite sleeves of all time. It’s actually tied for first with the Peen Pocket from FTM Pitstop. The suction alone on the Stroker Short from Banana Prosthetics is just out of this world and having used this sleeve for years now, I can say I have had a lot of fun with it. I’ve gone through a couple of them, not going to lie…. Since I do use them a lot. But with a $35 price tag, I think going through a couple in the last 3 years is okay for me!
